How to Remove Cooking Oil Stains from Clothes

Cooking oil stains are a common problem. To remove these stains from your clothes it’s best to start by pretreating the stain with Clorox® Clothes Stain Remover Color Booster, Clorox^® Clothes Powder Ultra Stain Remover or Clorox® Clothes Stain Remover Spray.

Follow These Simple Steps for Pretreating and Washing:

1. Apply

   Apply Clorox® Clothes Stain Remover Color Booster directly to the stain. Make sure the shirt is dry when you apply the product.
2. Rub

   Rub the product into the stain and let it set for 5 minutes. Do not allow the product to dry on the fabric.
3. Wash

   Add your favorite detergent and 100 ml (2 capfuls) of Clorox® Clothes Stain Remover Color Booster to your washing machine and wash as usual.

If you prefer to use a powered laundry additive like Clorox^® Clothes Powder Ultra Stain Remover follow these steps for pretreating and washing:

1. Mix

   Mix 1/4 scoop (7.5 g) of Clorox® Clothes Powder Ultra Stain Remover with water until a paste forms.
2. Wet

   Wet the stain with water.
3. Rub

   Rub the paste into the stain and let it set for 5 minutes.
4. Wash

   Add your favorite detergent and 1 scoop (30 g) of Clorox® Clothes Powder Ultra Stain Remover to your washing machine and wash as usual.

You can also use Clorox® Clothes Stain Remover Spray to pretreat cooking oil stains:

1. Turn on

   Turn nozzle to ON position.
2. Apply

   Spray Clorox® Clothes Stain Remover Spray directly onto stain until completely covered. For best results, treat the stain as soon as possible and apply on both sides.
3. Rub

   Rub gently and let it sit for 1-5 minutes. Do not allow product to dry on fabric.
4. Wash

   Wash as usual with your favorite detergent.
